Velindre Cancer Centre has becomes 218’s Charity partner for the ‘autumn rugby international events’.

The Hospital of Hope, has been providing specialist treatment and supportive care to cancer patients in Wales for over 60 years.
Velindre aim provide the best care, when people need it most.

Kylie McKee, Deputy Head of Fundraising for Velindre said,
“we are delighted to be chosen as charity partner for 218 Events in the Autumn Internationals this year. Money raised for Velindre allows us to fund ground-breaking research and fundamental patient support along with other vital services that make such a difference to our patients and their families dealing with cancer. However, the COVID pandemic has had a devastating effect on our ability to fundraise this past year, so this support is appreciated more than ever this year.

Geraint Hardy of 218 Events,
“We are extremely proud to be playing our small part in helping raising funds for a very special charity during our rugby hospitality events.

It’s been a very difficult 18 months for the hospitality sector but it has been even tougher for charities… with nearly all their major fundraising events having to be cancelled for a year, if not two!!

Now that we have some hope that we can organise our events, we’re determined to help some very worthy causes.”

For those attending our matchday hospitality events and match preview events, all to be announced very soon, there will be some unique items available during our auction, silent auction and raffle collection. Memrobillia signed by some of the world’s most famous sporting personalities. With proceeds being donated to Velindre Cancer Centre”.
