Autumn Rugby Internationals On Their Way!

Updated: May 15

Alun Wyn Jones has been announced the captain of the British and Irish Lions and Wales’ four match ‘Autumn International Series’ in Cardiff has been released, so please forgive me for feeling slightly optimistic and excited for the future. Although it dose unfortunately continue to seem highly unlikely that any fans will be allowed to travel to South Africa for the Lions tour, let alone be allowed into the stadium, we probably have to be satisfied with watching the series and sport we love on our TV screens… for now! But with regulations relaxing in the hospitality sector due to the fantastic vaccination programme it is realistic that we can enjoy each others company and be entertained by some of rugby’s greatest stars this Autumn. Following a stunning Guinness Six Nations campaign, Wayne Pivac’s championship winners are set to take on current world champions South Africa, fellow southern hemisphere heavyweights New Zealand and Australia and flamboyant Fiji in this year’s Autumn Nations Series at Principality Stadium.

The mighty All Blacks, making their first visit to Cardiff since 2017, kick off the series on Saturday 30th October and will offer Pivac’s squad a stern test as Wales seek a first win in the fixture since 1953. In terms of fixtures… it doesn’t come much better than that in South Wales. These fixtures have got our juices following in ‘218 Events’ with a whole plethora of hospitality events we would love to organise and host for the remainder of 2021 and looking forward to the Six Nations in Cardiff in 2022. Just imagine the thousands of fans flooding into Cardiff to play the unbelievable All Blacks and current world champions South Africa… the latter potentially seeking revenge following the Lions tour. We will be in the thick of it and we can’t wait! We’re excited to welcome you all back through our doors for some of the very best guest speakers and entertainment. With all of us having sat at home for so long… it’s will be time to get out and enjoy what 218 Events and Cardiff has to offer on international matchday. Please keep your eyes on our social media sites and website for the latest news and events. We’ll be announcing the names of our first confirmed guests very soon. 218 Events - Giving you the best seat in the house Wales v New Zealand, 30th October 2021, Principality Stadium Wales v South Africa, 6th November 2021, Principality Stadium Wales v Fiji, 14th November 2021, Principality Stadium Wales v Australia, 20th November 2021, Principality Stadium
