It was 'good' to be back...

Updated: Nov 10, 2021

“It’s beyond amazing to be back here in Jury’s Hotel with you all”.

Those were some of the opening words of my welcome speech to our Wales vs New Zealand Hospitality event in Jury’s Cardiff, and when I said it was good to have you back, I truly ment it from the bottom of my heart.

We have all seen the images of empty city centres across the UK during the pandemic on what should have been busy Saturdays and the image of Owain and myself packing down for an event that was cancelled in 2019 (Wales vs Scotland) will forever be in my mind but then throw to the image I have in my mind of standing in front of a full hospitality lounge with Shane Williams and George North by my side will stay with me forever.

There have been times when I thought we wouldn’t put another event on, there have been times when I thought events would never be fun and free flowing again but both have been proven false and I am so glad to say that I enjoyed our New Zealand event more than any other.

The buzz of having a full room of people enjoying themselves, being entertained by a male voice choir and then sporting icon’s like Shane Williams and George North was a beautiful sight. We have all had our ups and downs and the satisfaction it gave me to see our guest enjoy themselves after a tough 18 months was a joy, and we both thank you for joining us on the day.

In truth by the end of the day it felt like we had never been away and I cannot wait for the forth coming 6 Nations where we will host another full room of guests for Wales vs Scotland in Cardiff where we will be supporting Velindreonce again.

The main reason for this blog was to say yes we are back and it felt amazing, and also say we have some great times ahead but more than anything was to say thank you for showing faith in us and letting us show you a good time once again and whether Wales win or lose a good time was certainly had.

We're already planning for our next hospitality event in Cardiff. Wales v Scotland, Six Nations 2022 due to the unveleivable feedback we had. Can't wait to welcome and entertain you all once again.
